... how to show own short smartphone-videos on a simple way in IP ???

There are several problems...

File size, bandwidth, Adobe Flash dependency on computer browsers and more...

Uploading the following 12 MB file took over 2 minutes on WiFi connection! And yet the video is only 5 seconds long:

www.ipernity.com/gp/serola/13564/1547018c

Then on desktop browser one has to allow Adobe Flash in order to view such .mp4 video files. BUT, on mobile phones one does not need Flash to view them! The reason is that ipernity actually already supports HTML5, but for some reason this is only in case of mobile phone browsers. To get this working on desktop browsers as well is still beyond our skills. So, waiting for reprogramming...

But the process itself was easy. I uploaded the video file just like any other photo or file. On Android I only had to figure out that I need to navigate to videos on the file manager.

I wonder if there is any way to compress the videos any smaller.

I will write a more complete ipernity-howto later (as soon as possible).

I tested uploading the same video to YouTube. It took only few seconds.

So, alternative way to share videos here at ipernity is to upload the video to YouTube first, and then embed it to blog article here at ipernity.
