Ode to an old camera bag

Contribution for The Sunday Challenge #403: Bag(s)

Contribution for The 50 Images-Project: Still Life 49/50 Oops! I noticed I had not added this to the group in October 13th. So, I had to renumber all the rest of the contributing images, and add this to the group retrospectively with new order number.

I used this camera bag a lot back in last millennium. I even used it as a school bag to carry books and stuff. I was an Olympus "fan boy" ever since I bought Olympus OM-4 and several Zuiko lenses. Later on I switched to Olympus Four Thirds DSLR system. But after Micro Four Thirds became introduced as a new standard, this gear got hopelessly outdated.

Some time ago I sold all my old gear and got enough money to buy an used Canon G5 X. But this Olympus E450 and lenses had no resales value. Now they are collecting dust in our storage room.

For this shot I got inspired by Janano's last week's TSC contribution, where Janano introduced us a technique called knolling.

Well, there are numerous things one can use. I was also planning to do a knolling image out of my wife's hand bags, are there are rather many of them! =D

Maybe we could have knolling as a challenge theme, it would be interesting to see what everybody comes up with:-)

Well that’s funny as Knolling is what I thought of when I first saw this image. A great collection and a very satisfying image / arrangement.

It seems as if your life has become simpler, Sami. I too have Olympus analogue gear in a camera bag which no one will want to buy these days.

Sami Serola (inactiv… replied to Amelia:

Well, in the way of simpler cameras it has. But simple camera are also more challenging ;-)

If you have old Zuiko lenses, then they can be surprisingly appreciated by some.
