Have my 1st - a Canon Powershot A80 [ 4mp ] but I wore it out ..tis back on a shelf.. Now the A540 or 530 still works, but only Macro ..
. when one drops it in the sand of Florida [ and lens is extended ] ... does not care for sand ... ...can you hear the sound it made when I tried to get the zoom lens back in ? Yup .. that's it ! Even a fine artists brush only helped enough to get the lens back .. nothing else ..

My first digital camera was Minolta DiMAGE F300, but unfortunately got stolen.
I use the phone camera for fast snapshots mostly, because it is possible to send them quickly to other people. I prefer still my compact camera.

And that is the reason why I am so keen to use phone camera as well ;-) It turns the whole thing more collaborative.

But I also still dream of having a proper DSLR again, some day... They are just so damn expensive!

Nice shot, great angle, super composition. The whole presentation though--article, commentary--totally captivating!

Thank you, Janet =)

Although, this is merely an illustration only, and a "barker" for that blog article ;-)

My cell phone can give me great photos, or it will over-saturate colors and blow out the whites. I am more confident shooting with my DSLR, but it won't fit into my pocket. There are pros and cons for both.
