As I am a music lover, ranging in taste from Sibelius, to Bach, to Hendrix, to Coltrane, to punk, to soul, etc etc maybe I should delve deeply into this selection of yours and try and be a bit more 'with it, baby!'

I recall Brian Eno defined ambient music as something that can be listened anywhere, no matter what background noises there are. The idea is that the ear accepts the surrounding sounds as part of the experience.
