There's no spoon

Picture taken in 2012

This shot is taken with phone camera that has a "slow" enough sensor to create so called "rolling shutter effect".

There is also "banding/flickering effect" intentionally used.

What I did is that I waved the spoon between the camera and fluorescent lamp.

Only the green color is added afterwards to emphasize the reference to Matrix movies: youtu.be/uAXtO5dMqEI

Which of course is sort of a combination of Uri Geller and Magritte ;-)

This reminds me of Rene Magritte's paintings - surrealism .

Great job!
First I wanted to make something Uri-Geller-like. It's the first person who comes to my mind when the spoon is mentioned. But I didn't have a good idea and I didn't have that much time... :-)

I can still remember watching Uri Geller's magic performance from a black and white TV, when I was a child! =D

As far as I know he is still doing perfomances. And he moderates magical programs on TV.

Yes, I noticed that on the Wikipedia article I linked to. Great! This world needs more magicians! =)

Perfect for the theme, you did well to "resurrect" this photo!

Thank you, Gudrun =)

Please read the caption and notice this is an old upload, and not a contribution to MM2 group. But the theme has always inspired me and I had a personal theme week on spoons several years ago at MyOpera community, which I have also uploaded to here. And spoons have more or less always inspired me.

I saw this in the new uploads and sort of assumed it was in the group because you made that reference to it;-) Spoon week sounds a fun challenge.
