Post mill, brought from Ellington, Huntingdonshire and erected here in 1936 on the site of an earlier mill which collapsed in 1909. The mill had originally stood at Easton (also in Huntingdonshire) and contains timbers dating from c.1560-70 but was reconstructed c.1840, while it was at Ellington. "In its C19 form it is a composite mill, with a brick base supporting rollers which take some of the weight of the post mill above" [The Buildings of England: Cambridgeshire (2014), p.613].
