To the north, it seems to go on relatively flat forever, like on the Ruby Crest Trail, so I did not carry on that way. I did not realize I was actually looking at the Middle Peak. I probably would have walked and peaked those rocks if I had known, but did not plan a backup to South Peak, did not read my maps carefully, was hot, fatigued, solo, etc.
