The remains of the sugar mill "Marcelo Salado" (former name "Reforma", no. 428 of Cuba) are now the museum "Museo de la Agroindustria Azucarera" with a lot of old machinery and an extensive collection of well preserved steam locomotives. This part of the museum is called "Museo de Vapor" (Museum of Steam). When we arrived, the doors were locked, but soon somebody opened the door for us. Fine to have the whole mill for us ;-) The mill is situated between Caibarién in the east and Remedios in the west and was decommissioned in 1998.
