H is for Bag

The bag is a Billingham 225 in khaki-tan, photographed with a Nikon D2Xs and a Nikkor 50mm AF-D f/1.4 lens. I've owned three of these, four if you count the slightly larger 335, and they've all driven me mad. Fortunately they have an excellent reputation and are easy to sell.

The Limbo Connection replied to Jean-luc Drouin:

What you say is interesting. Realising that good fishermen's bags were being adopted by photographers, Billingham refocussed their operation. The company is well regarded but some of its products are badly balanced (too wide) and frustrating to use with their many belts, D-rings, zips, poppers, buckles, padding, straps and flaps. Furthermore, the bags are heavy and thus not really portable. I switched to a small Domke F-6 bag. Not particularly water resistant or protective, yet lightweight and above all, usable.
