Documenting Miscellaneous Domestic Paraphernalia

Remote control on arm of chair photographed using Nikon D700 with Tamron SP 35mm f/1.8 lens, a remarkable optic equipped with image stabilisation (Tamron call it 'VC') and a capability to focus close enough to almost qualify as a macro lens.
Many photographers think of a 35mm as their standard lens, yet for me it seems wider than I want. My first serious camera came with a Helios 58mm f/2 lens, and even then I wanted more telephoto. However, that's not to say the 35mm wouldn't be just right in a wedding setting, for instance. Or for documenting miscellaneous domestic paraphernalia.

Another unsettling image: the remote control, the haunted armchair, the swooning darkness of the living room.

The Limbo Connection replied to Steve Bucknell:

The light collapses. The shadows dance. An ambulance swoops past, its blue light playing on the ceiling for a few moments after its siren sound recedes. There is a creaking in the chimney. Somewhere something falls to the floorboards and a muffled oath breaks the stale winter air.
