The Exciting New Banner for The 50mm Group

In ipernity groups, if you are the member with the second-greatest number of photographs and the top dog is expelled for smoking behind the bike sheds, you get bumped up to administrator like it or not. Like nearly all organisations, ipernity is hierarchical and defiance is ultimately useless.
This has happened to me twice and each time only a handful of people were left in membership of the group and not all of them had posted any pix for ages. This is the problem with creating groups: eventually old age, attrition, being skint, losing interest, becoming mired in Highland Toffee, amnesia, illness, kidnapping by aliens, you name it, the result is a group existing more or less in name only. So: using my newly-acquired powers I have given my latest group, the 50mm group, a new banner, and thus energised all the ordinary members (two people from Australia) will get posting, and hundreds of new people who use 50mm lenses will emerge and enlist.
Yeah, that’s what’s gonna happen.

Suitable fanfare! A very suitable banner and a commentary I could not argue with. Maybe if we beat the 50mm drum a little harder..... Probably more likely to have hordes of new group members if we repurposed the group as "photos with my phone", sadly.

Watch out! Currently you are the member with the second-greatest number of photographs in the 50mm group.

There already is a group for phone photos called 'Handy-made - photos taken with your mobile-phone - spontanious pictures' (sic). It has 11 members some of whom are regular contributors - one of them is Old Owl, who is also in the 50mm group. The administrator of the 'Handy-made - photos taken with your mobile-phone - spontanious pictures' (sic) group has left his creation adrift by not being active since 2013, or so it seems. Maybe he has realised that pictures made with mobile phones have their limitations. Or maybe he simply got mired in Highland Toffee, or snatched by aliens. Maybe we should clear all these groups away into a supergroup called the Mary Celeste.

Yes, the idea of a Marie Celeste group could certainly float! In much the same way as you inherited this group, I find myself now admin of a couple of similarly empty echoing groups.

The 50mm Group has been deleted. Only the banner remains. Let this be its memorial.
