A glimpse of the capacious 72-biscuit Weetabix box, which originally contained six packs of 12 delicious Weetabix biscuits but this assumes a topping of demerara sugar - no sugar, no deliciousness - and is now host to back numbers of 'Amateur Photographer' magazine. I swear the cardboard used to be stouter than it is now. This counts against the product as a recyclable container for domestic miscellanea.
The Weetabix website states, "The Weetabix brand has been manufactured and sold in the UK since 1932; today it is the UK’s number one selling, most trusted and most recommended cereal and is one of Britain’s most iconic brands." All very well, Weetabix, but what about protecting the contents a bit more diligently? I'm not sure that the current boxes even warrant the description 'cardboard'.
