The Wikipedia entry is very good I think on Nova, and this image a nice echo of their style. The Sixties in retrospect do feel like a lost golden age of style, innovation and youth culture. I think Larkin talks about β63 being β rather too late for meβ. For me, I think the sixties were a little too soon; I was just fifteen as the Seventies arrived...and the Sixties had already lost their optimism and shine.
