Thanks very much. Using these vintage standard prime lenses afresh - even with a digital dinosaur such as the Canon EOS 30D - recalls the experience of my first proper camera (a Zenith, with a Helios 58/2). It was such a great improvement to make photographs which were more accurately exposed; in focus and sharper; composed pretty much as when viewed through the lens. I return to those old lenses because they can provide something with real clarity.
