The streets used to look like this all the time.
This public bathhouse (the building with the chimney) is very much out of business because the government sets the prices.

Happy New Year!

I heard that only Japan and China have year-end and New Year holidays.

It feels like a ramshackle place, held together with wood and metal and wire. Touchingly human, temporary, poor but with integrity.

It's definitely on-board.
But when you live there, you will be surprised to find that it is not to be underestimated.

The new one is like a worse version of Brezhnevka in the Soviet Union.
