It takes a whole lot of DDT to keep the tomatoes so deliciously worm-free. :P
(I actually did get to fix a delicious pot of roasted tomato soup from scratch last month. But that was due to the gardening talents of someone at work who had too many tomatoes and they, uh... farmed them out to me.)

I grow tomatoes and actually had a great crop this year, in a long growing season for Vermont. Fed up with them by October. : D
Right now we’re eating flawless, crisp, “premium” grapes - the only drawback is they’re completely, seriously flavorless. : (
