Yes, I agree that we are just at the very beginning of our evolutionary path, but if we keep going the way we're going we'll reach a very premature end of the road very very soon. Perhaps that'll not be a bad thing, for the planet that is. Then the tardigrades and the bugs can take over and start all over again. I put my money on the tardigrades...:-)

I fear that the planet will have to put up with us and our thoughtless actions for a while longer. ;) But it will once again give us the chance to learn and correct our thinking and actions. However, we will have to live with the fact that we cannot completely undo the damage we have done and that future generations may also suffer the consequences.
