Aranda de Duero, a city with a population of about 33,000, is the capital of the Ribera del Duero wine region.

The Gothic church was built in the 14th on a small hill, using elements of the previous Romanesque church. Completed in the 15th century with a defensive tower, it was also used for defense purposes. Today it serves as a museum.
