Vernon - Saint-Christophe
Vernon is mentioned the first time in 1274. It was dependent on the cathedral“s chapter of Poitiers. A church must have existed here at that time already, but of that church, only the apse, dated to the 12th century, survived the times. The nave collapsed mid 19th century and got rebuilt. The Romanesque capitals are under a thick coat of paint.
