Agrigento - Semana Santa

The Holy Week traditions in Sicily are mostly the legacy of the 17th-century Spanish domination of the island, and still bear a close resemblance to current Easter traditions in Southern Spain. About midnight the solemn procession in Agrigento started., Thousands of people, many in costumes were involved, there was music, there were prayers... It was very impressing.
