Le Monastier-sur-Gazeille is known by musicians as this is the place of the "Festival du Monastier" (aka "Festival de Cuivres"), a great meeting centered around "brass". 40 concerts - in 7 days!!

Since decades saxophonist Gaël Horellou, a well known jazz musician, has had many projects with other musicians. During a stay on the island of Reunion he came in contact with local musicians and so "Identité" was formed, a fusion project based on jazz and rhythms of the Indian Ocean. World music at its best! After a while the audience fell in a kind of trance, carried away by the rythm. Floating! A great performance!
