1150/1200 this house was erected as a private chapel. For centuries it was known as "Kreuzkapelle am Bach". In 1807 the chapel got deconsecrated and since then is used as a residential house. The ground floor was occupied by a confectionery and a café, but now hosts a trendy hair stylist.

The Romanesque portal of the chapel now opens to "LaufSteg 36".
