For decades there was a well known, sucessful blues band named "Magic Slim and the Teardrops". When in 2013 Magic Slim, who had founded the band in the 1960s in Chicago, passed away, his son Shawn, who had toured with his father, stepped in. The name of the band changed, but the music stayed stmping "South Side Blues".
