Outines - Saint-Nicolas

We had seen Saint Nicolas at nightfall, when we returned home, now we were back and could enter. The church was erected in the early 16th century, the oldest wood fates back to 1612. The construction seems similar to the timbered halls of the area.

One of the "Chemins de Saint Jacques" passes Outines as well as the famous "Via Francigena", that runs from Canterbury to Rome.

On the backpack (left) was a "coquille", so the pilgrim was on his way to Santiago. A long way to walk from here! Ultreia!
