Si je n’étais pas un juif du ghetto, l’idée d’unir l’humanité ou bien ne m’aurait pas effleuré l’esprit, ou bien ne m’aurait pas obsédé si obstinément pendant toute ma vie. Personne ne peut ressentir autant qu’un juif du ghetto le malheur de la division humaine.
