Sub-arctic Night
Painting on acetate film.
This is painted to be viewed through the acetate film so it's painted in reverse of the normal oil or acrylic painting order. First I have to paint the foreground details, then lay on layer after layer that are farther and farther back.
So! The one that's basically white and blue is the last layer and I've no idea of how the painting turned out until the paint's dry and I can un-tape it from the board and turn it over.
Acrylic on acetate film, approximately 8 by 14 inches. Viewing though the film brightens the colors and really makes them pop. It's a lot of fun!
