Hemingray D-513 glass insulator in service use

Whitley County, Indiana

A close up shot of a CD 232 Hemingray D-513 in service use supporting a single phase circuit. I've only seen Hemingray D-513s in service use at two locations in Whitley County, Indiana.

Here is a wide angle shot of the same pole.

Here's a similar one I found in ND: www.ipernity.com/doc/ndlinegeek/18593161 CD 238 on top AND a CD 1052 on the neutral!

Matt Weldon replied to David Dahle:

I've occasionally seen the glass spools here and there used the same way and also shot my first CD 238 Hemingray-514 just two weeks ago.

Matt Weldon replied to SW Ohio Lines:

Yeah, need to photograph as much glass up in the air before it's all gone! This also includes railroad pole lines.

I think it would also be a good idea to tag or "keyword" every photo with the CD number or D number to create a sort of onliine data base to make searching easy.
