The statue in Nottingham is entitled 'Standing in this Place' the work of Rachel Carter it was unveiled on February 6th 2025 and depicts an enslaved black woman working in the American cotton fields and a white woman in an East Midlands textile mill both in period dress

Thank you for your kind comments Gunter I was a bit disappointed that I couldn't blur out the background. I hadn't realised it had only been there for four weeks I wondered why there were so many people looking at it. I hope you are having a nice evening
