Very nice, Peter. I read that the tradition of Christmas was hardly celebrated in the beginning of the 19th century in the UK, and that it was Queen Victoria and her husband who, in 1848, put up a decorated Christmas tree, recalling Prince Albert's childhood in Germany. Shortly afterwards, every British household had a tree decorated with candles, sweets, fruit, homemade decorations and small gifts.
