Grrrrrrr

by Peter Castell
Although it doesn't show it properly this shot annoyed me greatly everywhere is brown farmers are struggling with food crops but thousands of gallons of water are wasted so the wealthy few can knock a ball into a stupid hole, combined with the vast amounts of nitrogen that have made it bright green it looked quite obscene in the dry landscape

Votre photographie est superbe mais je suis de tout coeur avec vous pour le gaspillage de l'eau pour les riches, qui ne connaissent pas la valeur de rien on dirait....c'est désolant et fâchant !

In a lot of the desert resorts around here (e.g., Las Vegas) they're now using gray (non-potable) water--which is an improvement!

Hi Peter, I see you opened a can-of-worms here. I must admit to agreeing with your sentiment about the watering of these precious play area's. I imagine if they let the greens die it could prove most costly and work intensive. I wonder if we think the same thoughts re watering during a drought, when we walk through a lovely green watered park full of children? Anyway, all getting back to normal again here in NW England at least. Great HFF shot by the way!
