The garden is in terracing on the side of a steep valley, a lot of steps !!! it's been heavy showers all day

I knew before I read your description that this was Powys Castle gardens, Peter. We often go there when it's a nice day, and not at a weekend if possible. I love the yew hedges there don't you?

They had been trimming the hedges when I went, it's a long way for me, and certainly not a nice day but that reduced the number of visitors, NT use the English spelling so I did
