Sycamore Tree Seed Pods

I heard on the TV the other day that these extended heatwave conditions are causing some trees to enter an "early autumn" phase as it was so dry.

Checking in the garden I saw evidence of this on the lawn under my sycamore tree.........lots of seed heads and leaves losing their colour and falling. I brought some indoors to photograph them.

The same is true of some of the other trees nearby. On the plus side, the seed pods and leaves are very photogenic.

There is a shot of one of the leaves in the PiP.

They looks beautiful, Keith. But so sad about the early autumn …climate change manifests here to. Mid winter. Very cold nights..and long dry sunny days…peas are flowering and spring veg are leaping out of the ground!

Thanks very much Diana........I'm glad you like these images.

Perhaps all these changes will convince the climate change deniers that they've been wrong. Us humans really need to get our act together before we don't have a planet to change..!!

Yes, it's getting much warmer again...........with another heatwave on the way early next week I think. I feel really sorry for all those who are already suffering the effects of the wild fires that have been in the news lately!

Have a lovely evening my friend and stay cool. Best wishes, Keith ;-)
