This flower, which I'm pretty sure is a variety of Sea Holly (Erynguim), came with a bunch of flowers sent to my wife for Mother's Day yesterday, by my younger daughter.

While my wife was arranging the flowers in a vase , I took the opportunity to grab this one and photograph it first.

Viewed large, you can just see where the tips of the flower are beginning to turn blue.
