Portsmouth Skyline

Taken over the old oyster beds on Hayling Island, Hampshire.

The Hayling Island Oyster Beds are former oyster farming lagoons on the northwest coast of the island, historically important since Roman times but now a significant wildlife habitat and nature reserve, particularly for seabirds.

Keith Burton replied to David G Johnson:

Why thank you, kind sir........glad you like this view and photo. You wouldn't be allowed to poke around in these shallows though........it's strictly out of bounds, unless you're a bird :-))

I hope you're having a lovely weekend my friend. Take care and best wishes, Keith.

It's a lovely walk around there James, which I don't get to do as often as I'd like. I'm very pleased you like the photo and thanks for your nice comments as always.

The contrast between the city skyline and the oyster beds in the foreground makes for lovely layers and the glorious sky tops it all.
