Are they three or four sided Keith? they look fascinating in this excellent image,
I also assume they propagate quite easily, nice light and wonderful detail, nice one!

Keith Burton replied to Roger (Grisly):

I had to go out into the garden and have a look...........and surprisingly the answer is...........some are three sided and some are four sided. Who knew? I have no idea why!

Glad you found them fascinating..........and liked the detail. I shall be keeping an eye on them now :-)

Thanks for your visit and comments Roger..........much appreciated.

Wünsche noch einen schönen Abend, liebe Grüße Güni :))

Thanks for your lovely comments Güni...............and glad you liked this one and found it interesting.

We grow this this one in a pot, but we've collected some seeds this year and are going to throw some round the back garden and see what happens in the spring :-))

Enjoy the rest of your day............and have a good weekend. Best wishes, Keith.

That's a very interesting arrangement you discovered, Keith. It reminded me of William Morris, but he got to make his stuff up.

Keith Burton replied to John FitzGerald:

Glad you found it interesting John...........and I see what you mean about William Morris. I'm not convinced that this particular arrangement would make good wallpaper.........maybe a print?

It's good of you to drop in and leave comments.........many thanks!

Interesting macro Keith. Except for the obvious size differences. It reminds me of chocolate pods. Have a great weekend ahead, Keith.

Great photo. Love the contrast level showing off all those details. And the color of the seeds is delightful. Love it.

Unsere Agapanthus sind auch schon lange ausgeblüht. Bald kommen sie in des Winterlager.
Eine sehr schöne Aufnahme dieser charakteristischen Saatköpfe!
