Langstone Harbour Houses (+PiP)

Some of the houses along the sea wall at Langstone Harbour, Hampshire. There's definitely worse places to live :-))

Best viewed large if you have the time.

There are a few more buildings in the PiP (including the Ship Inn).

Must be a funny feeling having the water come and go in front of your house, but definately a fine place!

Keith Burton replied to Stephan Fey:

I suppose you'd get used to being so close to the water..........most of the houses have been flooded at some stage in the past and nowadays they're well equipped and prepared.

Thanks for your visit and comments Stephan.

Keith Burton replied to TOZ:

I've always wanted to live there TOZ, since I was a kid...........but there's no way I could afford the houses in this area!

The Ship Inn serves great food as well as being a decent pub too. It's a very popular place.

Glad you like these images and thanks very much for commenting.

A lovely view, to live I'm not so sure a high tide and a strong wind perhaps not so good

Keith Burton replied to Peter Castell:

The houses have a splendid view across the harbour Peter. The high tides can be pretty scary and most of the houses have been flooded at some stage in the past but nowadays they're well equipped and prepared.

Thanks for your visit and comments.

You're quite right of course Güni...........and it's a very beautiful place to visit, especially in the summer months. I've wanted to live there since I was a kid...........but there's no way I could afford the houses in this area!

Have a nice peaceful evening...........best wishes, Keith.

Yes, I see many many far worse than these. I wonder though if these are subject to flooding. Well done.
