Grey Heron in Flight

I was sitting on a bench adjacent to the Mill Pond at Langstone Harbour, camera in hand, watching the world go by, when I noticed some children pointing upwards the sky above my head.

Looking up I saw this Grey Heron and just had time to swing the camera upwards and back to grab this shot. I was quite pleased with it given the circumstances.

I need to take a picture today of some beautiful tulips I planted last year. They are tall but small and lovely pink and white
