Wood Anemone

From my garden. These are tiny (around 2 or 3 cm across) daisy-like perennials, which come in several colours (usually blue, purple and pink). It is a wildflower native to the Mediterranean region, but now available to buy pretty much anywhere. We keep them in pots otherwise they would spread too much. Blackbirds have been digging in the pots lately and I think this one was a victim. I rescued it before it died for a photo.

Sophie and I saw some of these yesterday. She looked up on her phone what they were called. I only took one picture and it's not a patch on this one, so I won't be showing it :-))

Your making good use of the coloured card, which fits perfectly with this pretty little flower. A good recue!

Have a good and sunny (maybe) weekend.

Keith Burton replied to Rosalyn Hilborne:

Much obliged Rosa...............I'm pleased you like it, but sorry I put you off from posting :-(

I used the card for a few shots............mainly because I couldn't be bothered to sort out another colour! Have a good weekend yourself., We've just had another rainy day but the weekend is supposed to be slightly better.

A well-chosen background and a delightful painterly effect of the flower, while the green leaves stand out nicely from the card,

A great photo Keith. I do like your idea of placing a coloured card behind the flower, to show it off beautifully. I hope you have a great weekend.
