In My Garden

Taken in my garden between heavy rain showers last Saturday. Not much flowering yet , just one tulip (yesterdays shot) and quite a few Grape Hyacinth.

My garden gets very boggy when it rains and there will be lots of work to do when it dries out, but past experience tells me that it will take a couple weeks without rain before that happens! It's a jungle out there :-)))

Have a good week everyone :-) Thanks for all your visits, comments and yellow stars over the past week or so.

I love these two pictures Keith. Well displayed in the collage. My garden is the opposite to boggy, it's very rocky underneath. Let's hope this is a good and sunny week.

Keith Burton replied to Rosalyn Hilborne:

Thanks Rosa. When we first moved in back in the 80s, and for years afterwards we dug up lots of old bricks, paving stones and other builders detritus. We live in an end terrace house and one of our neighbours told us that when the builders finished the terrace they just dug a big hole and buried all the leftover stuff..!!

If I'm honest we struggle nowadays to keep the garden as nice as it should be, so for the last few years it's been a bit wild, but the birds and insects seem to like it.

It's been nice and sunny today but with a cold wind. The rest of the week is forecast to be a bit warmer and sunny, which will be good.

Keith Burton replied to Günter Klaus:

Thank you Güni, I'm pleased you enjoyed these photos.

We have some bulbs planted around the tree stump and so we always leave the grass quite long.
