The UK Met Office has designated the approaching Low pressure area as "Storm Austen" [the first of the 2026/7 winter storm season to affect the UK].
It will mainly affect the SW & Southern England / Wales, with high winds that may cause damage & disruption, together with spells of heavy rain - some prolonged, with a risk of flooding.
