The nicely painted & maintained entrance porch to Horsted Keynes station on the Bluebell Railway and the start of our journey today.

Our intention is to go to one end [East Grinstead due away at 10:47], all the way to the other end [Sheffield Park] have lunch there followed by a look around and then come back here to Horsted Keynes.

Apparently, a 1930s traveller described HK as "a country junction in the middle of nowhere" and, as it is some 1.5 miles from the village it purports to serve, he wasn't wrong !
