wst[25] - R. South Tyne, 15-21 Sept 2025

Flow levels for the River South Tyne between Monday, 15th September and Sunday 21st September 2025.
Two main peaks - One was 1.95m at 15:45 on the Monday, but as it was just under the 2m above datum that is regarded as the normal flow range limit. Note the near vertical rise in the early hours of Monday - probably indicating the flow recorder was not moving freely.
The second peak was 2.32m at 21:30 on 20th September 2025, and that was a little over the upper limit of the normal range - enough to trigger an alert.
If it got above 3.10m, that would trigger an actual flood warning.
