My late father was extremely supportive of the "Co-operative" movement in the UK, making a deliberate choice to buy almost everything he & his family needed from the "Co-op" - this included food, furniture, and clothes.
He would be horrified at how badly the movement is doing at the moment, especially as it seems to be leaving it's origins behind in an attempt to compete with the other supermarkets.
