Hunslet Engine Company was a major employer in Leeds, Yorkshire for many decades. They designed and built a wide range of railway locomotives and rolling stock. Over the years, the parent company merged with or took over around a dozen other loco builders, mostly ones based in Leeds. This display gives some idea of the companies involved in that process.
