Vol - tsunami ; The Great Wave off Kanagawa

This is the image most people have in mind when talking about a tsunami. The Japanese translates into English as "The Great Wave off Kanagawa".
The English term of "tidal wave" to describe the surge caused by undersea earthquakes, and landslides, isn't really sufficiently accurate, IMO.
Sadly, the Japanese are all too familiar with earthquakes, tsunami and volcanoes, as their islands are part of the Pacific "Rim of Fire" from being over a subduction zone for the Pacific plate.

The Great Wave off Kanagawa is a woodblock print by Japanese ukiyo-e artist Hokusai, created in late 1831 during the Edo period of Japanese history.
