An urli, also spelled ar uruli is a traditional Indian vessel, typically made of clay, copper, brass or bronze. It’s known for its shallow circular shape and is used for cooking. Ayurveda medicine preparation and as a decorative element, particularly floating flowers, Urlis come in various sizes, from small decorative bowls to larvae “varpu” used for cooking large quantities of food.
Urlis are versatile vessels. In the past, they were commonly used for cooking and for preparing Ayurvedi medicines. Today, they are also popular for decoratie purposes, particularly for flowing flowers in South Indian tradition
