1967 Austin A35 - NDB 48E

Yet another lovely line-up at Newby Hall in 2013, this time of old Austin's starting with one from 1967 nearest the camera.

Pleased you like them Norm ... like toys compared to what you guys over there were making at that time though! :)

I'm not a car person but these look very aesthetic! The green is a lovely colour which I don't recall seeing nowadays.

autofantasia replied to Gudrun:

Glad you like them Gudrun and I think you're right about green becoming rarer these days. When I was growing up I can remember lots of people saying it was an unlucky colour so not sure if that has had anything to do with its apparent demise.

That said, British Racing Green will always find favour amongst motorsport enthusiasts! ;)

Smashing image Paul and lovely motors. I like the little peaks over the headlights on the second and third cars.

autofantasia replied to Keith Burton:

Thanks for the kind comments Keith and I'm with you on the peaks although I know a lot of people aren't that keen ... just don't start me on these people who put eyelashes onto their Beetles - lol! ;)

The van you usually see them running around in Karen is based on one of these! :)

Karen's Place replied to autofantasia:

I can really see the similarity.

When my son was young we got him a collection of these cute Chevron Cars made by Aardman Animations (Nick Park.) We all loved them just because they reminded us so much of Wallace and Gromit. I still have them put away somewhere.
