Benches and fences

Now there’s an idea for a couple of groups on Ipernity…
Take a seat and admire the fence.
HFF to one and all!

Good grief! Are there camera holes in this fence or other vantage points? It's all very well to provide a viewing area but to do so without provision for the photographer would be pretty mean.

Tractacus replied to John Oram:

Panic not! Unlike the paranoia against photographers which seems to be prevalent at some airports, the aircraft enthusiast is reasonably well catered for at Manchester. Within the Viewing Park are two raised mounds, from which these photos were taken. Here: Viewpoint
There’s also a larger raised area closer to the Concorde Hanger, part of which can be seen here:EasyJet reflections
Not quite raised enough though, this one. More suitable for general viewing rather than photography.
The benches are not normally lined up like this - methinks they’ve congregated there to get out of the breeze, much like sheep will hide behind a wall. Either that or they’ve been moved there whilst grass cutting was in progress…

Oh well, it's already kinda nice to have pic nic tables out in the open air at an airport, I don't think I would quarrel with the fences blocking the view too much .. :)))

Well they call it a viewing park but don't say what you actually get a view of!! It seems they have provided areas for you to get a better view and some photos though, so all is well.

HFF and have a good weekend

Tractacus replied to Ecobird:

It was probably the best place in the country for aviation photography, until they removed the two raised viewing mounds, to build an executive terminal, which kinda restricted the views somewhat.. HFF to you!

At first, I thought that the first photo was that of a prison fence. It is a very serious fence. HFF!
