Inshore Tug

Built in Germany in 1945, but launched at Hessle, and given the designation TID 174 (Tug, Inshore and Dock - the number can be seen on the stripe at the top of the funnel), the Bonchurch now resides on the Sankey Canal at the Fiddlers Ferry Yatch Haven.

It would have been nice to have had a look around her, but it was not to be; The side of the canal on which she is moored is closed off to the general public.
Maybe if a ship preservation society in Germany knew of her existance, they might make an offer...
