West Coast finest

The Class 86/2s I could take or leave, in common with most railfans at the time, but I always rated the 87s. Just one example - 87002 - remains in occasional use on the main line, with 17 locos seeing further service in Bulgaria.
Here we see the class leader 87001 'Royal Scot' as preserved at York National Railway Museum.
